Description
The specimen is a portion of duodenum in the region of the ampulla. There is a tumour in the
region of the ampulla of Vater and extending into the pancreatic duct. The tumour is circumscribed
in outline and the surface appears ulcerated.
History
This man presented with obstructive jaundice and anaemia with a previous history of
duodenal ulceration.
